The Silver Strand officially starts at Cornado Tidelands Park, which is one of the best staging areas, and cyclists can easily exceed 10 miles depending on where you start. If you decide to ride all the way to Westfield Plaza Bonita then the path can be 18 miles one way with roughly 15 of those miles being on a dedicated bike path. There are many alternate routes that require mountain bikes for those who are more adventurous. The longest connection makes it all the way to Mount Miguel which is covered in trails as well. The trails themselves are scenic and safe, excluding Mount Miguel and its trails, making them ideal for cyclists and runners of all levels since you can easily decide how much of the trails you'll complete.
